CONGRATULATIONS to the SATIR INSTITUTE of the PACIFIC

on their 20th ANNIVERSARY

Sharon Loeschen, President of the Virginia Satir Global Network presented Linda Lucas, the current president of the Satir Institute of the Pacific and Michael Callaghan, the past president, with a plaque honoring their 20th anniversary as an institute.  SIP was founded in 1998 and since then they have contributed immensely to furthering Virginia’s teachings around the world!

Here are some of the ways they have done so:

Trainings—SIP has regularly offered Level 1 and 2 trainings in the Satir Model, Level 3 two-day workshops, master-classes and training for trainers. These training events, particularly the more advanced ones, have attracted people not only from BC but from many other countries. Trainers from SIP have presented training programs in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, India, New Zealand and elsewhere.

DVD’s—SIP has produced 11 DVDs of live therapy sessions, several with Chinese sub-titles.

Annotated Bibliography—SIP has published an annotated bibliography of works related to Virginia Satir and the Satir Model which you can find on their website.

Wisdom Box—SIP has published 72 issues of their newsletter the Wisdom Box.

Satir Journal—SIP launched the Satir Journal with Dr. Stephen Bentheim and published and printed 11 issues between 2006 and 2011. They are available through the EBSCO databases housed in universities and colleges worldwide.
