The 2024 Initiatives
Virginia Satir’s primary hopes and dreams were that her work would help people to see their own value. She worked tirelessly to give people tools and vehicles to communicate congruently, to better their lives, and to have compassion for others. She envisioned that one day she would create a training center to help others become fully human, and create healthy relationships with the self, others and context that would affect individuals, families, organizations, and governments.
The Education Committee and the Satir Global Board, in accordance with the Virginia Satir Global Network (VSGN) are taking a major step to follow her wishes with the 2024 Initiatives. This strategic plan will begin with a proposed training and educational center, which will teach individuals and groups around the world in the Satir Growth Model. This undertaking will include the implementation of a new Learning Management System (LMS), former and newly created courses, trainings for newcomers to the Satir Model, as well as for Satir educators, coaches and mentors, and more! We are planning to take Satir’s hopes and dreams into the future as we employ the latest teaching and technology platforms including a new website.
