News Flash: Satir Summer Intensive Training in Chapel Hill

UNC Satir

A program to provide training in the model developed by Virginia Satir

SATIR SUMMER INTENSIVE TRAINING IN CHAPEL HILL – TIME IS RUNNING OUT SO REGISTER SOON!

There are still spaces available for the Satir Summer Intensive July 17-22, 2017 in Chapel Hill so hurry and register so you don’t miss this wonderful opportunity! This dynamic, experiential six-day workshop will be led by experienced co-facilitators Jean McLendon, LCSW, LMFT and Hugh Gratz, MSW, LCSW – both of whom trained directly with Virginia Satir for nearly two decades, and who have long been recognized as one of the best and most effective training teams in the world, with one previous participant in Chapel Hill saying:
“Jean and Hugh were masterful at teaching content, modeling content, providing interaction with processes and people in a supportive nurturing environment where risk-taking became the norm.”

They will be assisted by a dedicated team of apprentice trainers who also have extensive training in the Satir Model and currently apply it in their various practice areas. Based on the groundbreaking work of family therapy pioneer Virginia Satir, the Satir Growth Model offers a valuable framework for improving the communication skills necessary for creating positive change during times of stress, conflict, and transition. The training will provide social workers, therapists, and other professionals with powerful tools for increasing successful outcomes in therapeutic, organizational, and personal settings through deeper and more authentic communication.
Participants from previous Summer Intensive Trainings in Chapel Hill have described the experience as “transformative,” “life-changing,” and “the best out-of-pocket investment I’ve ever made.”
Fee for this training is $1,500 per person for individuals and $1,200 per person for groups of three or more, with scholarships available for students and others requiring financial assistance – see our website or call us for more information.
