Third annual Summer Intensive Training UNC Chapel Hill

The UNC Satir program, part of the UNC School of Social Work, is excited to announce that several new training opportunities for practitioners, students, and other professionals will be offered in Chapel Hill, NC in 2017. Our third annual Summer Intensive Training will be held during the week of July 17 – 22, 2017 at Extraordinary Ventures in Chapel Hill, and will once again be led by facilitators Jean McLendon, LCSW, LMFT and Hugh Gratz, MSW, LCSW.

The cost for the workshop will be $1500 which includes tuition, fees, all course materials, beverages and snacks, as well as three meals during the week. 40 hours of continuing education credits will be awarded through NBCC.

*Registration and hotel information will be available at our website after January 1, 2017*

Two credit-bearing courses focusing on The Satir Growth Model will also be offered through the School of Social Work:

The Satir Growth Model: Enhancing Individual, Couple, Family, and Organizational Health during the spring 2017 semester and

The Use of Self course during the first 2017 summer session.

These two courses will become the foundation for a Satir Certificate program in the UNC School of Social Work that is expected to be in place by 2018. For more information about UNC Satir and our programs, see our website:

Hello: I have a friend who lives in Raleigh. Is it possible to commute to the conference? If so, what is the cost of the training? I am from the Los Angeles, CA area and would like to visit my dear friend who relocated from Los Angeles many years ago. Thank you.

I am wondering if the conference is full. If not can you send details of accommodation, and relevant I do., as I am coming from edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Thank you.
