A lesson about the process of change by Virginia Satir

This lesson was created by the Avanta Network, now know as The Virginia Satir Global Network. It was adapted for the internet when dial-up service was still a major way for students to get online.  This program  was created for use by persons needing continuing education units in Social Work in Michigan.  It is being offered in this forum without the post test or CEU’s.

A lesson called the temperature reading

This is a great story about dealing with conflict within a system. It is part of a DVD package offered by the VSGN.  Virginia Satir was a master educator. In this video Satir is working during the start of a month long process of teaching her concepts to interested persons. She wanted to build a safe context, which is key for the learning process to unfold. Satir talks about a tool she developed to help make that happen she called the temperature reading.
